Thank you: Jim Hardy, Rich Dixon, J Bateman __________ A NOTE FROM AARON ASHTON: If it isn't immediately apparent, I love an eclectic mix of musical styles . . . but I especially love folk music. There's just something about its raw-ness that feels unpretentious, and honest. I am not a purist (and this album is anything but traditional) but I am a passionate fan of the straight-stuff, so to speak. This album borrows heavily from a variety folk traditions (especially Irish, Scottish, American and gypsy-swing). I am not allowed to list specific websites or artists here. For those like-minded souls, a little on-line sleuthing will reveal whole worlds of incredible music. THANKS: This boot-strapped jerry-rigged two-year-long labor of love & exhaustion is the result of much help from family & friends. There is a core group of people that should be acknowledged by name. Thank you, thank you, thank you: Natalie, Dave, & Sandy Cope; Mom & Seth Ashton; My most formative teachers, Ted Ashton & Jack Ashton, who taught me everything I know; Larry Smith & Ray Smith, who helped me forget everything I know; the FANTASTIC band-mates, musicians, composers, engineers, & producers in my world. Thank you ALL for your generosity, support, and friendship. Finally, this is for Pearl. We miss you.
