In 2012, Yemi Marie was named one of the Top Talent, by Talent Shines International Talent Convention, which was broadcast live around the globe from Walt Disney. She was given top scores out of thousands of contestants. Yemi Marie’s talents extend far beyond her vocals; she is nothing short of a true entertainer. She is trained in several forms of dance; Hawaiian, African, Modern, Hip-Hop and tap. Yemi Marie is proving to be truly incomparable. Although she has been inspired by the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Beyonce and the late great Whitney Houston her style is unparalleled.
