Loretta Callens began her journey through music at 6 years old. She credits her parents with fostering her love of music and partiality to singing harmony. Loretta performed with folk duet Firelight (1978-1996) and Pine Hill Bluegrass Band (1988-1998), vocals with southern rock bands Tonk Dew and Proven Justice. She presently performs solo at wineries, pubs, coffee houses, restaurants, festivals, benefits, private events in the east Texas and the Dallas area. Loretta's music is an eclectic genre' of songs from oldies to the not so distant past, along with originals written by her and or other independent Texas artists. Her 1st CD, "Strayz", released 2009, was reviewed by Tom Geddie in the 2009 October issue of Dallas' Buddy Magazine. A quote from the review "Callens can sing". Loretta recently released her latest CD "Life Is Good" along with a companion wine by the same name produced by Texas Roads Winery located in Canton, Tx. Aside from performing Loretta has produced/co-produced several events including sixteen bi-annual bluegrass festivals, a folk festival and two fund raisers.
