简介
With a love of the best of American songwriters, Dennis Fallon and Daniel Collins came together in late 2008 for a night simple recording---no fancy techniques, just two boys sitting around a microphone, playing the songs they love. After a few quick hours, the boys had their debut EP--a bare bones, stripped down sample of songs they perform live. For fans of Dylan, Waits, Springsteen and Petty, these songs are a breath of fresh air in a world of overpopulated, overproduced music. Daniel Collins is a 20 year-old, award-winning violin prodigy who has played throughout the US and Europe, blending his traditional Irish musical training with a modern love of Old Crow Medicine Show and Dave Matthews Band. An accomplished photographer and filmmaker, Collins lives in State College, Pennsylvania. Dennis Magee Fallon is award-winning songwriter and national recording artist (founder of the bands Katsu and Lowjack) whose songs have appeared on many commercials and television shows. He has toured the country, performing throughout (including the prestigious South By Southwest Music Conference). Fallon currently lives in Seattle, Wa. The album was recorded at the famous Frigo Recording Studios on a Monday night in Boalsburg, PA. Marc Frigo has a lifetime of top-notch recording experience, having worked with The Indigo Girls, Bob Seeger Patty Loveless, Jewel, Israel, Erin O'Donnell, Nicole C. Mullen, The Borrowers, Letters to Cleo, and many others. Recently, Fallon and Collins have signed a development deal with world-famous artist developer Loren Israel, who has worked with such rock greats as Jimmie Eat World, Plain White T’s and Sugarcult. Fallon and Collins (along with a new band) are recording an album in Hollywood, CA in the Summer of 2009. What the press has been saying: “…brilliant lyrical skills, throwing down wonderful rap/rants with Dylanesque turns of phrase with awareness, cynicism, and momentum…”---PA Musician “Dennis' voice is very unique. There's a cool kind of disparity to Dennis' voice that lends itself to being very authentic. When I listen to music I listen for authenticity and for music to be genuine. This is just that — it's style is very original.”--Shinbone Magazine “A unique combination that really translates across many genres.”--Michael McCoy, PD – WLAN - (Lancaster, PA) "crisp, inventive modern rock from a disc that gets better with every listen. not the same-old-same-old." ---Mike Naydock – WKAB (Berwick, PA) “a straight-ahead, driving rock'n'roll sound defined by simple, catchy melodies and relatable, easy-to-digest lyrics about life, love and heartache in blue-collar America. “---Jim “The Professor” Price, The Backyard Rocker “… [Fallon’s] got a flair for the dramatic…painting full, robust images, like treatments of scenes and scenarios from the identifiable to the absurd. Yet they’re lyrically executed convincingly…great pop sensibilities, cleverly avoiding the 6,700 clichés usually worked into this theme…file it under ‘regional classics.’ Great!” --Hazelton Standard-Speaker,(Northeast Pennsylvania) “Dennis Fallon, the band’s vocalist, is the album’s charismatic focal point...he’s like a rubber ball on top of an exploding rock and roll geyser.”---Centre Daily Times (Knight-Ridder, State College, PA) “Dennis remains a fiery front man with a knack for rallying crowds…a fresh and upbeat brand of rock.”--Pennsylvania Musician “One of the fastest rising bands in the state“ ---Electric City (Scranton, PA) “The band’s presence has been established in just a few short months.”---Blue Weekly (Penn State University) “ …Fallon displayed a brassy voice and an upbeat stage personality as he fired up the large audience with free-wheeling original tunes…expect to hear a lot more about him in the months to come“---PA Musician “The more lead singer Dennis Fallon and his band mates seem indifferent to big commercial success -- focusing instead on the sheer joy of playing live to their loyal local following -- the more they seem to court success.” ---The Daily Collegian
