In the beginning of 2008, Tex Napalm & his french counterpart, Dimi Dero got invited by Jerry Teel (Ex-Chrome Cranks, Honeymoon Killers etc.) to play a couple of shows in the US. Quickly, The Bellmer Dolls Anthony S. Malat was recruited by force of nature on bass in NY to complete the line-up. The whole thing turned out to become a small, but surprisingly successful US tour – especially for an artist collective that had never even rehearsed before nor any releases or promotion for the shows apart from mouth-to-mouth propagandha and internet chatter. The word was spread on the net and the likeminded were willing to hear the call. 2008 also saw Dimi & Tex touring France with Lo’ Spider as Tex Napalm & The Ashtray Hearts. Later 2008, Tex Napalm & Dimi Dero went into Tex’ El Bruto Studio in Dortmund to hammer out what became the highly acclaimed ‘STICKY SINGERS’ (BEAST RECORDS) in May 2009. Rather than planning an album, these two guys just let it happen – most of everything was done on first take and in the spirit of the moment: a fuzzy, wicked orgy of feedback guitars, rock’n’roll retardation and the denial of ‘the morning after’. The Stooges meet Motörhead on a tribute to the Rolling Stones at Blixa Bargeld’s house. STICKY SINGERS quickly became a critic’s and fan’s choice, obviously for the uniqueness that you don’t find in your attitude rock band these days. 2013s follow up ‘PARTLY ANIMALS’ found our protagonists in even weirder condition – but that is a different story…
