简介

This is a CD from 1996. After the breakup of Swivelhead (a group spearheaded by Eddy Zak featuring Mike Advensky on drums as well as other musicians such as Eric Downs and Rich Arlington), Mike Todd threw together a few of his original compositions and recorded them at Rich Gaglia's studio in Queens. It was distributed on cassette back then (dinosaur) but this is the first time it's available for streaming. The first track " A Prayer For Michael " is a bass solo piece meant to be played at Mike's funeral. "December Passing (Kathy’s Song)" is a piece written for Kathy Parzych, a close family member who passed away in 1995. The world lost out that day. "Nigel and Izzy" is a piece written for Mike's 2 children at the time (he now has 5 and a grandchild) that features Michael Wimberly on percussion. "Otto's Red Cabbage" is a piece written for his lifetime friend Jaime Kraus. "Goyda" was recorded live in the studio and gives a good representation of the interplay between Eddy Zak, Mike Advensky, and Mike Todd. This is the only track that wasn't on the original cassette. Special thanks: to Eddy Zak for his playing. to Mike Advensky for being a lifelong friend and collaborator who can be brutally honest or thoroughly encouraging. "Those licks are from 1987" ha to my wife, 5 kids, and grandchild ( Wendy Kisla-Todd, Nigel, Izzy, Julian, Maddy, Emma, Liam) My Ma and Da
