Andrew picked up the trumpet at an early age and began studying with some of New York’s finest musicians. As a trumpet player, Andrew has performed all over the world. He has won numerous chamber competitions with groups such as The Royal Brass, Bala, and The Triton Brass Quintet. He twice won a trumpet fellowship to study at the Tanglewood Music Center with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He has performed under world-renowned conductors Seiji Ozawa, Andre Previn, Roberto Abbado, Hans Graf, James Conlin and Robert Spano. Currently, Andrew is an active freelance musician in the Boston area and an adjunct professor at Boston College and Eastern Nazarene College. As an emcee, he has performed throughout the Boston area at house parties, college raves, local hangouts and clubs. He recorded the electronica rap song Rich Boyz with producer Boiled Jar for the release of the album Pink Baby Monster in New York, NY. In 2003, Andrew completed his debut album Let Ya Head Bop, released on his independent label, S & M Industries. As a Songwriter, Andrew has found his voice in hip-hop through a mixture of jazz, classical and experimental music. Through Let Ya Head Bop, he has created an entirely new genre of hip-hop he believes will eventually evolve into the mainstream. He is currently writing a fully staged hip-hop musical.
