简介

The Robot Scientists are DJ legends of the retro-futuristic disco movement that is expanding across the globe for a few years now. They are famous for their electro-disco vinyl collection and highly respected for their tasteful “Spaced Out Disco”, “Cosmic Beach Club” and “Musica Da Batticuore” mixtapes for which they only use vinyl records, blending vintage and contemporary “cosmic” NuDisco, Italo Electro, Balearic House and Funk classics into a hypnotic, psychedelic, spaced out ride on their colorful disco spaceship. The Robot Scientists are running the acclaimed “Mister Italo” blog and are part of the “Overfitted Disco” blogger team. Both combined stand for the world’s largest treasure box of mostly unheard 70s, 80s and 10s disco masterpieces. Their first single “Space Love EP” was released on David Caretta’s label “Space Factory” and was supported by Moonbootica, Ajello, Angel Molina, Johnny Jewel/Italians do it better and many other DJs and showed a unique mixture of disco, electro and new wave elements. With their new cosmic-indie-disco release “Black Hole”, they kick off their label “Emerald & Doreen Recordings” which is set to release futuristic pop, lounge & club music from a variety of international artists, focusing on vocal tracks and outstanding NuDisco, House, Chillwave, Electro, Synth Pop and Indiedisco remixers. www.emerald-and-doreen.com www.soundcloud.com/emerald-and-doreen-rec www.soundcloud.com/therobotscientists misteritalo.blogspot.com The Robot Scientists feat. Lisa – Black Hole EP (Emerald & Doreen Recordings EDR001) Release Date: 23.03.2012 Tracklist: 01. Black Hole (Original Mix) 8.06 ‘Black Hole’ is a cosmic indie-disco hit starring the Robot Scientists most recent discovery, the young Björk-like vocalist Lisa. The Robot Scientists build the dramatic arrangement around a childlike innocence, supported by Lisa's quality contribution. In contrast to the light and airy feel of the tune, there are dark elements that represent the force of being swallowed by a black hole. Because of its songlike quality, "Black Hole" will stand the test of time with a blend of electronic Disco, some Balearic elements and classic New Wave guitars. 02. Black Hole (Alexander Robotnick Remix) 7.48 Italo legend Alexander Robotnick puts the disco funk back into place. Driven by a wah-wah-esque guitar loop, this percussive persuader swings like a mother. The lighter shade of ‘Black Hole’ is a teaser for the hip-shaking crowd out there. The cosmic tribe bongos its way back down to Earth straight to the dance floor. 03. Black Hole (Irregular Disco Workers Remix) 7.31 Gregorio Assandri (Cloned In Vatican) & Andrea Frittella (Dj Andryu) from the Italian NuDisco duo Irregular Disco Workers turned ‘Black Hole’ into a beautifully melancholic modern day Italo Disco hit, adding a catchy Juno melody, Moroder-styled bass and Balearic influences that instantly bring back naïve 80's fun for the dancefloor and your local radio station. 04. Black Hole (Nicolas Chenard Remix) 5.00 Minimalistic space funk invader Nicholars Chenard let’s Lisa “fear the black sun”. His extra-tight remix shows Lisa being sucked half-way into the ‘Black Hole’. The buzzing rendition is infectious like a virus on your hard-drive. It does not harm your system, but turns your hi-fi into sci-fi… 05. Black Hole (Kid Machine Vocoder Dub Remix) 6.21 As if ‘Black Hole’ was some kind of dark space movie from the past – Manchester based Kid Machine’s retro-space-electro-disco style delivers a film score-esque remix. The Robot Scientists enter the Black hole to access a futuristic, hypnotising new dimension in which wide empty spaces, purple colors and deep moody synth basslines rule. A really spaced out trip. 06. Black Hole (Casionova Remix) 7.55 Casionova, Magic Waves Festival initiator and co-owner of the London based CyberDance label which also features new electro hope Ali Renault is best known for his frequency-based weapons he frequently drops like a wizard of retro disco. His John Carpenter-esque instrumental remix is fed with dark synth melodies and acid 808 sounds that make any 80s, Italo Disco and John Carpenter lover go ‘yesss’! 07. Black Hole (Antoni Maiovvi’s Luscious Dub) 10.06 Berlin-based synth disco daredevil Antoni Maiovvi lives for the night. His luscious dub remix is for that sweatbox basement, for the freedom in anonymity, dubbed out psychedelic night music. Floating in space forever. Not some vampire blues, this is werewolf joy! For the dubbed out disco lovers. For those who are looking for love.
