Moz had a unique childhood which has influenced his music today. His mother was around during the 60’s and listened to a lot of hard rock, blues, and blue grass music. Some of her favorites were Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Jimmy Hendrix. His father on the other hand listened to a lot of Motown, Soul, and Oldies like Rick James, Tina Marie, James Brown, Santana, and Marvin Gay. His father was a street musician and one of the original founding members of the famous Latin R&B act “Tierra”. His father never gave it much thought that his son might have the same drive to become a musician himself. At that moment, at such a young age, with all the influences he was motivated to make something of this music. During the 80’s, he listened to everything from R&B Soul, Disco, Funk, Latin Jazz, Rock and Hip Hop. He has great respect and love for Rock and Hip Hop music. At one point he even played in a band, but he was always drawn back to rap music. At that time, it seemed natural for him to pursue a music career. He discovered he had the tools for rhyming which started out as a hobby, when he used to write poems to impress the girls. As soon as he heard L.L. Cool J’s, “Cant Live Without My Radio” and Uncle Jams Army “Dial A Freak” he knew that rap was going to be his life’s ambition and to set a place for him in the rap world. In the 90’s, he was influenced by some of the House Music, which was a hybrid of disco music from the 70’s. Because of all these changes in music over the years he has adapted to today’s hip hop and rap music. His music is infused with danceable beats, bass moving hits, funky hooks and catchy melodies that capture his audience with every track.
