Well known North East Singer Song writer Pete Dodds has been back in the studio, working on a charity CD to raise funds for his neighbours Granddaughter. Peter, who, during the '70's was a member of legendary Newcastle-based band Half Breed, who were signed to the Beatles-run record label, Apple explains “My Mam would see Eve Anderson playing in the garden with her Grandma and was shocked to hear that she had collapsed with an unexplained bleed on the brain, which led to the diagnosis of an inoperable brain tumour growing on her brain stem. As a result Eve now has locked in Syndrome” Pete wanted to use his song writing talents to help Eve and those careering for her. “ I talked to her Grandma and Father Ian and they were delighted. I wrote Heaven Holds a Place but felt that my gruff voice wouldn’t do it justice and by chance I heard Amie singing and thought her voice would be perfect for the project. Amie recorded two versions of Heaven Holds a place, an acoustic version and an orchestrated version. Pete and Amie have recorded a four track CD and have roped in friends Brian and Irene Hume from Prelude to help. Amie has recorded 1000 Yard Stare, featuring Brian on Guitar.
