DRIVE FAST, TAKE CHANCES (DFTC) is the first studio album by Traverse City, MI songwriter Clint Weaner, who goes simply by his first name, CLINT. He’s played music throughout his life while working odd jobs around the country and in the past couple years he’s turned his focus entirely to making music. The album is a blend of rock&roll styles that leans toward indie rock and alt-country. The songs are catchy but not too simple and the melodies and lyrics lead one to recall Elvis Costello, The Kinks, or Elliott Smith. Clint worked with local producer Aaron Wolinski to create the lush soundscape that permeates Clint’s self-release. From the straight ahead pop rock of the album's first half to the more introspective and emotional second half, DFTC is an eclectic mix of consistently great rock&roll.
