Unlike my first album, which was entirely about love, this one has a wider range of themes. It begins with "Say What You Mean", a light-hearted stab at pretentious music-lovers, and ends with "The Harder It Gets", an inside peak into the mind of a struggling artist. Every song is an incredibly personal true story, with the exception of "Intense Love", which is a hypothetical situation that I could have easily found myself in. The underlying pattern of my vulnerability, sensitivity, and general breakableness led me to name the album "Glass Doll". Even though it describes my specific journey over the past few years, I think everyone can relate to the frustration, rejection, doubt and hope they will hear in this collection of songs.
