Country Western Star lives in the shadow lands, guided by a compass which bears the letters L, M, F and R (love, murder, forgiveness and revenge). Within this album are 25 songs, featuring tales of heartbreak, redemption and triumph. The album includes a couple of 'live' performances, (from a grubby old honky tonk, to a sold out stadium performance), a field of sheep, windstorms, rain and thunder, a run-in with the devil himself, and there is a singing dog. There are some classic country elements, infused with happy 'poppy' moments. After one listen, you may just find yourself humming songs about burying 'wrong-doers' out in the garden, deep beneath the ground...

Kelly Haigh previously recorded with the band Ashley Park. (Whose albums include the Secretariat Motor Hotel, Nobody Broke Your Heart, Town and Country and the American Scene). As well as painting her own album cover, she's also painted covers for other recording artists, such as the lovely Carolyn Mark.
