Live Baits sometimes sound like Hole on their best days, on record more like The Breeders, Pavement or the very early PJ Harvey - the kind of rock music, which builds on the Old Testament of the Velvet Underground. For that, there will always be room on this planet. "Stalker", their last year 's release, they call modestly an" EP", but the work can also be regarded as a quite strong album, with tons of hooklines and a simplicity that is catchy and doesn't get boring. The message remains, however, compressed in the following memorable stanza from the song "Waiting For" on the disastrous outcome of a drunken night: "Close my eyes / Imagine you / Open you / I puke on you.
