简介

Electro ave consist of three Electronic music lovers that have come together to spread the love of Electro funk. LlOyD dA zOiD Born in East London in 1968. Soon after leaving school in 1984 LlOyD dA zOiD aka Lloyd Harvey started working in the Film and TV industry, appearing in many of the major films, TV and commercials as a supporting artist. His roots in electro music started back in 1981 when he was influenced by Kraftwerk and the Nu Wave music scene. He soon moved to the Electro funk sound of 1983, which lead him onto one of the most amazing dance styles, “Poppin & Boogaloo” which he still practises today. He was also heavily involved with many of the pioneers of the U.K hip hop dance and electro scene from back in the day, this lead to him being a total electro geek and a big electro vinyl collector. He breathes the arpeggio bass line, and walks in time with the 808 beat. His OCD lead him to collecting LED watches of the 1970′s, and his claim to fame is appearing on the antiques Roadshow, but we wont get him started on that as he goes into anorak mode. Today he works with Diplomat on projects for Electro Ave records. This involves working with legends of yester year, and also with the Nu Electro talent of today ! Diplomat Born in Essex in 1973, the first musical influence for Diplomat (Will Phillips) was the hip-hop of the mid-eighties. Inspired by the sounds played by Mike Allen on his Capital Radio shows, Diplomat started mixing on a twin tape deck; creating pause button mixes that sounded so fresh, one of them was aired by the show that had first encouraged him. Diplomat continued to create music throughout the late eighties as a producer and DJ for local hip-hop crews, but it was the explosion of the UK hardcore scene of the early nineties that saw his first vinyl release. Working with Julian Cobb (Hellfish) under the name of Destruction Productions, Diplomat released What A Rush on Rob Playford’s Moving Shadow label in 1992. Further releases followed on Immunity Records until in 1996 Diplomat became a member of the Technological Terror Crew responsible for the birth of the legendary Deathchant label. Working with Hellfish again, Diplomat produced some of the label’s most iconic tracks until, in 2003 he returned to his hip-hop roots and began to release on Electrolab. This collaboration with Dr Skunkenstein came into being through the Electro Empire forum and having reacquired his taste for electro, Diplomat started to broadcast live on Global Funk Radio. He was soon joined by another EE member; Lloyd Da Zoid, for their hugely popular Electro Avenue radio show. FatLaces Shropshire based Graphic Designer Andy, heads the creative department at Electro Avenue. He cites the Electro 1 sleeve as the definitive piece of design that inspired him to be a Graphic Designer. His career has gone full circle, from admiring the iconic sleeve to reinterpreting it for the Street Sounds Nu Electro series. Andy also has an unhealthy appreciation of trainers – the collection is Bboy inspired, taking in Adidas Superstars and Puma Clyde.
