The probably most exotic originated band of our label is back with their third record „Saved From The Truth“. The 2004 formed ANGBAND, four dedicated metal heads from the Iranian capitol Teheran, have been on our label since their debut-album „Rising From Apadana“ in 2008. Since then to real insiders they are known for honest Power Metal with a small Progressive-touch. Again Achim Köhler did the production of the nine brand new songs - except the calm, last track „Bitter End“ all of them with a playing time between five and six minutes. He gave an own identity to the new songs and with that he has topped the predecessor „Visions Of The Seeker“. The even more developed vocals of front-man Ashkan Yazdani sometimes show up parallels to King Diamond in the middle-high singing-passages, sometimes even in high-pitched-screams. The songwriting also remembers a little bit to Savatage. With „Saved From The Truth“ ANGBAND proves, that there are also some Metal-maniacs in a strictly Islamic country, which play – despite of all the government barriers - real Heavy Metal of a western style!
