Transylvania's story began as an Iron Maiden tribute act. This tribute served as a catalyst for the 6 members of the band to begin writing and performing original material. Their collective influences could be a novel length endeavor to list, but they all concur on citing Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, The Scorpions, Judas Priest, Manowar, Accept, Black Sabbath, Dio, and Blue Oyster Cult as major sources of influence. Music isn't their only source of inspiration by any means. The band often cite horror films, war movies, historical events, and literature as being major creative sources. Transylvania takes pride in their traditionally rooted sound that is also peppered with modern sensibilities. Transylvania's triple lead guitars, punishing bass, storm-like drums, and clean, decipherable vocals will provide the soundtrack for many wild nights, high speed drives, or head banging marathons to come!
