简介

"Bunter Drachen" (Colorful Kite) was recorded in 1965 in West Germany as part of the debut album "Rot wie Rubin" (Red as a Ruby) and released in 1966. It is also included in Suzanne Doucet's more recent album "Wo sind all die schoenen Jahre", which was released in 2010 by Sireena records in Germany. Composed by Rio Gregory, lyrics written by Suzanne Doucet, Bunter Drachen was part of Suzanne first production, which she financed with her own money. She was the youngest record producer in Germany and later termed "Germany's first Liedermacherin" (singer - songwriter.) She wrote her own songs and introduced a completely different style into the German pop market. You can hear her musical sensibility and poetic arrangements which led later to her unique New Age style. The lyrics are about childhood memories tied to the image of a colorful kite, which flies way with all the childhood memories... : Colorful kite, who knows where the wind took you - children's laughter - that's all that's left for me! Where did my first longing, first crying, my first love go, where did time take them? Just a little photograph with tears; is that all that's left for me? Fly, fly away Colorful Kite, you are flying away with all the hours... memories, which disappear, who knows if we will find each other again. New crying, new laughter, new joy and new wounds - that's all that is left for me... "Bunter Drachen" was chosen by Guy Ritchie for the soundtrack of his latest movie "The Man from U.N.C.L.E" which was released worldwide by Warner Brothers on August 14th, 2015.
