The words "I'm gonna cut your ****ing throat," ring out in a scream on Stray Bullets' album opener "Knife For the Pusherman." In that moment the upstrums take a sonic turn, they're no longer jaunty Jamaican affectations-- they're the sharp sounds of stabbing knives. It's a perfect summation of Stray Bullets' sound: ska-punk rendered dangerous and deranged. Ghost Town Rockers is the second full length from the Boston punks and on it they remain raw and melodic for its duration. These are the sounds of sore throats and sweaty circle skanks given life through drums, guitars, and voice.
