High School Coach Uses Music to Motivate Youth with Release of his New Album For Immediate release Dallas, TX - Joseph Mayberry aka "Mr. Mayberry" has taken teaching to the next level with the release of his new album entitled "Mr. Mayberry Presents...": The album will be released under the Thick and Thin Family Entertainment Mother Company. Thick and Thin is the independent label responsible for projects like "Be Careful"; a single that is warning teens about the dangers of HIV/AIDS and the single "Time Zone"; featuring Mr. Mayberry and his 9-year-old daughter "Autumn aka Baby Girl", that is motivating students 3rd through the 11th grade in Texas to pass the State Required TAKS test. Thick and Thin is planning a tour that can cover the entire State of Texas. The driven young teacher and coach began his teaching career in South Dallas at Lincoln Humanities and Communication Magnet High School and is currently working in the same community at The Great James Madison High School. Mr. Mayberry has invested years in writing, producing, recording and performing Hip-Hop music. When asked what his greatest feeling of accomplishment is, he said, “I am Thankful and proud that I not only benefit the students in my classroom, but now I have the opportunity to reach students across the country with my music. I get to also help direct young rappers to become song writers, producers, world class performers and most of all, Young Business People." Working in the South Dallas community, which has one of the highest rates of confirmed HIV/AIDS population in the nation, he says, " I feels I have a responsibility to help educate students academically as well as to teach them to, Win in Life!" Joseph Mayberry's crusade to make a difference in his community transcends him as he has unselfishly proven his desire to see change by assisting others like youth motivator Marcus Parker (www.MotivateOurYouth.com) complete their missions as well. “Lots of people talk about helping youth, but Joseph Mayberry is really doing it", said Parker in a recent interview. Joseph's youth contributions go even further as he encourages High School Students like Leroy Conway aka Lil Lanky Boy, a Senior at Samuel High School in Dallas, and Leon Davis, a graduate of Mesquite High School, to use their microphone talents to spread positive messages to their peers though music. He is also teaching them to be young business owners by teaching the young entrepreneurs how to own their music and to sell their products independently through vehicles such as CD Baby. With so much focus in the media about rap music as well as its link to the state of young black men in America, it is good to see a young black man unselfishly hold the torch for the future by empowering our youth.
