Steven Tracy has been playing and making flutes for over twenty years. An incurable do-it-yourselfer, Steven was drawn to all aspects of the flute, making, playing, and reccording his music.

Steven and Gail have been married for thirty years, living in the same house they built twenty eight years ago, nestled high in the Colorado Mountains. Living, working, and playing at the headwaters of the Colorado River, their passion has been to explore this magnificent river from beginning to end. Using every means possible, they have hiked, biked, backpacked, and canoed, and camped along the river, in every zone, as it makes its way to the sea.

Mystified and astounded by the immense civilization of ancient people that have lived along this incredible corridor of life through the high plateau desert, the maze of canyons, and the Sonoran desert, Steven and Gail were inspired to create a connection of life, through music, with the ancient ones.

The album, ANCIENT ECHOES, is the result of their passion to understand, honor, and connect with all those who have lived, worked, and played along this great river of life.
