The Kenyan Boys Choir is an ensemble of exceptionally talented boys with ages ranging from 17 – 26 years, drawn from high schools, Colleges and Universities around Kenya. The Choir is dedicated to moulding a world class choral outfit that offers a platform for Kenyan Boys to nurture their natural talents in Music, dance and drama, while imparting life principles of discipline, hard work perseverance, persistence and determination. In order to shape a youth citizenry that is responsible and of impeccable integrity for effective leadership in the society, the choir advocates for attainment of quality education for its members. Education is elementary in the augmentation of any individual towards being a responsible and an empowered member of the society; a fact that the Kenyan Boys Choir believes in and strives to inculcate. “LIBERTY” inspired by Celebrations of Kenya's 50th Anniversary of independence & the choir's challenging journey and it’s dedicated to Free the Children. It features 13 Tracks, own compositions and re-arrangement of popular songs such as Amazing Grace. Track List: 1. Mano Doko Tim (Luo, Kenya) – An awful act that has never been witnessed in this land has been committed. It is beyond human comprehension and we are seeking guidance and advice from our chief elder, Riaga Kogalo. Soloists: Masambaya Fredrick and Ajuoga Humphrey Arranged by Wanjala Henry. 2. Amazing Grace – A deep reflection of our spiritual life. A Kenyan Boys Choir rendition. Soloists: Alvin Kadaji, Okwemba Joel, Barasa Lawrence, and Gikuiyu Kenneth. Arranged by Wanjala Henry 3. Kenya – Words are not enough to describe Kenya, a country of resilient people, diverse cultures, and beautiful landscapes. This composition appreciates and praises our country and warmth of its people. Soloists: Kadaji Alvin Arranged by Henry Wanjala. 4. Mutha (Kikuyu, Kenya) – The tribulations and triumphs of Israelites to the exodus from Egypt to Canaan. Soloist: Ngigi Martin. 5. Mama (Luhya, Kenya) – There is no love greater than a mother’s love. She is God’s best gift from above, an endless string of love. This is a son’s love song to his mother. Soloist: Barasa Lawrence Arranged by Masambaya Fredrick. 6. Be the Change – A composition Dedicated to Free the Children, for redefining change all over the world. Soloist: Kadaji Alvin and Rombo David (rap) Arranged by Wanjala Henry and Masambaya Fredrick. 7. Ala (coastal instrumentation, Kenya) – A fusion of rhumba and captivating coastal chakacha music style played using chivoti (coastal flute), African lead drums, shakers, and cowbell. 8. Let’s all be peace – The genesis of peace is humanity. It is the primary duty of each one of us to uphold peace in all circumstances. Arranged by Fred Onovwerosuoke. 11. Kumbaya – “Come by here lord” we are calling upon job and listen to our prayers. Soloist Gikuiyu Kenneth. Arranged by Henry Wanjala. 12. Herua (Coastal, Kenya) – We need to work hard, to till our land and celebrate later. Soloist: Barasa Lawrence. 13. Songa Songa (Swahili, Kenya) – Loosen up and move to the beats of the music.
