CHARLES BROWN LIGHT OF THE DAWN Charles Brown’s Latest Release: “Light Of The Dawn”, combines Hard Hitting, Heavy Rock & Progressive Riffs with Guitar Synth textures & melodies, as well as Acoustic & Classical elements. Inspired by the Apollo Moon missions, and reflected in the song titles, “Light Of The Dawn” takes the listener on a Progressive, musical exploration that incorporates the influences of such artists as: Ritchie Blackmore, Deep Purple, Pat Metheny, Alex Lifeson, Christopher Parkening, Marillion, Dream Theater, and even Blues/Rock & Jazz players such as Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown, and George Benson. Hailing from Denver, Colorado, Charles has been performing, teaching & composing for over 30 years, and also spent many years with a variety of bands that performed throughout Colorado and the Western United States. Charles has been involved with the Colorado Art Rock Society which promotes Progressive music and performances in the Denver area. Charles has also been profiled in the guitar magazine “20th Century Guitar”, and his CD’s have been reviewed at progressive music sites and magazines both in the U.S. and Europe. He is also currently involved and performing with local Denver favorite “Yarrow”, who has opened for National acts such as Steppenwolf, Dave Mason, and The Byrds. In addition, an excerpt of his Classical playing was used in the independent film “2-41” which debuted at a number of Asian film festivals. Charles has also been involved in showcasing the Guitar Synth, and has written guest columns for the instructional site “Chops From Hell”.
