After Silent & Listen's 2009 release, "Secret Hiding Places Never Are", the then three-piece band spent a year or two playing regional shows around Atlanta before life and various commitments seemingly crowded out the band. Silent & Listen went on an indefinite hiatus, but Nathan Woody kept writing. Four years later, a new record emerges, this one more of a studio project, with some additional layers, and with some new faces. But the sounds, the textures and the feel of the songs remain much the same. This is a project that tries to be unassuming, gritty and emotive. Occasionally there is a splash of humor. "Everyone's a Marathon Runner" is a record that is lovably crank-able, and infectiously sing-able. Now go ruin your speakers.
