简介
The trio TEYR (‘3’ in the Cornish language) evolved out of the London session scene, combining their multiple instruments and voices in every innovative way they can muster. Heavily influenced by the great Irish, Scottish, English and Cornish musicians who've come before, they’ve honed our craft and thrived on weaving our diverse threads together. Described by Folk Radio UK as “high-energy brilliance”, James Gavin, Dominic Henderson and Tommie Black-Roff are three of London’s finest new breed of folk musician. Recorded with the assistance of acclaimed producer Gerry Diver (Lisa Knapp, Sam Lee, Tom Robinson), Far From The Tree displays the full breadth of TEYR's innovative and distinctive sound. Featuring ten tracks of blistering originals and reworked ballads, the groundbreaking album is a distillation of two years of playing, writing and wrangling. "The future of folk music is safe in the hands of young musicians like this.” Na-mara “Musicians of this dexterity, quality and charisma make post-trad ensemble TEYR one of the most playful and artful groups around.” Sam Lee, The Nest Collective “High octane folk drawing deeply from their combined heritage - three consummate trad musicians playing with verve, mystery, magic and a healthy dose of disrespect for pointy headed purism - one of London's finest trad groups in many a year.” Gerry Diver, The Speech Project
