简介
The Butterfly Plague was written and recorded between 2007 and 2009 as a result of significant personal events and struggles for singer/songwriter Robert Haley. The album is a culmination of various emotions, failures and triumphs that touch upon issues such as becoming a father, death, divorce, and a life long struggle with depression and mental illness. This first release by Robert Haley was written and recorded in his personal home studio which started out as only a recording experiment to test out the possibilities of a newly acquired recording setup which resulted in the track entitled "Kiss The Fountain". A few tracks more was when Robert began to entertain the idea of a full release, as he had taken a break from writing and performing for several years. As song after song came to light, Robert came to realize and recognize his denial. In the fall 0f 2009, 13 lucky tracks were completed and mastered. The Butterfly Plague was pressed as a limited CD run for promotional purposes at shows, promoters, repeat show attendees and close friends. Fast forward to October 2011, The Butterfly Plague is now available for the first time as a digital download. Robert and his band are currently performing shows in their home town of Toronto, Ontario and are planning dates south of the border in the near future.
