简介
Award-winning singer/songwriter and actress Malynda Hale has never been afraid to bare her soul for the sake of her art. Penning her first song at age nine and acting in her first school play at age seven, Malynda continues to take her fans on an exciting journey through her adult life. Sharing with them the challenges of the entertainment industry, discovering herself, losing and finding love, this performer’s heart and passion are evident in every song she writes and every project she takes part in. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Malynda grew up singing gospel music in a small church and doing musical theatre in school. She was later classically trained, receiving a degree in Vocal Performance and minor in musical theatre from Azusa Pacific University. Post college, she toured the West Coast before taking her talents to New York City where she received her Actors Equity Card, did several regional theatre shows and recorded her third most popular album "The Train Ride Home." She later relocated to Chicago, a city which she now calls her second home, signed with Actors Talent Group Agency and was inducted into the Recording Academy. It was in Chicago that Malynda began her transition to becoming a tv/film actress making her a well rounded and versatilte performer. Whether it’s singing the National Anthem at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, performing at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay (opening for Tyrone Wells and Ernie Halter), or putting on a show at one of the many New York City, Los Angeles or Chicagoland venues, her voice can’t hide the similarities she shares with Heather Headley and greats like Whitney Houston. Additionally, her music and melodies continue to emulate the brilliance of her greatest influence, Gavin DeGraw. Malynda’s vibrant music has received high praise and incredible reviews from Blog Critics, Lady Indie, Thirty Roses, New Lease Music, Urban Flux Magazine, Nerdy Boi Media, The Birmingham Times and most notably, Music Connection Magazine. It has also been streamed on reputable indie music stations like Pandora, Jango Airplay, Spotify, Revolt Radio, BWD Radio, Rhythm Rave Radio, KC Cafe Radio, Flo Empire Radio and Butterflies Radio.
