Horripilation started back in 2008 as a solo project by Robert Williams while also doing vocals for the band, Exorcist Evisceration, and soon after guitar and vocals for his other band, Enxcet. Horripilation was eventually left behind as it never went anywhere and soon forgotten. During a brief hiatus with Enxcet, he decided to restart Horripilation as another side project with Himself on Guitar/Vocals; Jakob Head on Bass; Andrew Miller on drums; Keelan Donahue on Keys.

Horripilation has a wide sound spectrum covering ambient, acoustic, rock, and so on. The band is currently based within Orange County, California. Near Lake Forest.
