“Determination and the will to move on.” Those words are what you would hear from the Army music artist, Soldier Hard, if you were to ask him what has gotten him where he is today. His new full-length and 12th CD/Album, titled the "Therapy Session”, is a prime example of that fierce determination and will. This CD project contains NEW military-based songs. The tracks were aimed at making a noticeable mark in the music industry by being The Voice for our troops, veterans, and military supporters. A native Californian, Combat Veteran and the Creator of Redcon-1 Music Group, Soldier Hard’s music career began by performing in local bars and clubs in his hometown of Vallejo. Some might say that his career really began at the tender age of fourteen, which was when he became inspired to write songs. At nineteen he enlisted in the United States Army and quickly found himself writing songs detailing the life of an Armed Forces Military Service Member. Soldier Hard’s belief in explaining the “military life” led him to an opportunity to dedicate his music to cater to military personnel, their families, and all military supporters. In doing so, he gained much respect and even a new alias, “The Voice for our Troops” by the very people he proudly represented. Take the determination of Abraham Lincoln, the selflessness to serve our country from Pat Tillman, and the musical and writing skills of Bob Marley to make up the artist Soldier Hard, for these men greatly influenced him. So much so, that from 2005-2006, when he was deployed to Iraq as a Lead Vehicle Gun Truck Commander, he began writing and recording his CD, the “The Deployment”, during the free time he had. Then after his return to Ft. Bliss, TX, in 2007 he released “The Deployment.” “The Deployment is the most memorable CD project to this date. I was in Iraq and created a CD, not many people can say that they did the same. It’s amazing how I can put my heart and soul into a project and actually hearing the music, as time goes by, it brings me back to a time and place in my life I’d prefer to forget, but I know that there are many troops out there that can relate to it, so I keep spreading our stories in respect for all our troops. They’re the most amazing people in this world, and we all should be asking for their autographs.” "Any troubadour can write a song about war -- almost none write from the side of having served in one. Parker, Mayor of the city of Houston, TX, for performing for local Veterans, Military Personnel, and Military Families.
