Born in Brooklyn, NY, Alexis Santiago, also known as CHRISTREBEL, was the youngest of 3. He was born a fighter. From the womb, the Doctor's verdict had implications of death. Surviving birth was just the beginning. At the age of 2, he fell into a coma and died but was brought back to life. It was then his family discovered that he was a Type 1 diabetic. When CHRISTREBEL was 7, his family moved to the Borinquen Plaza projects, where he was introduced to the street life mentality. Even though he was raised by strict parents, that did not stop him from doing things his parents didn't approve of. CHRISTREBEL fell in love with sports. He actively participated in baseball, football and basketball until his senior year of high school. The mixture of a torn rotator cuff, separated shoulder & clavicle ended any chance of pro baseball dreams. Full of anger with all the things going on in his life, he became self destructive & violent. He reached the point of fighting anyone for looking at him strange, never backing down. It didn't matter that his mother & siblings gave their lives to God back then when he was 9. He still rebelled and fought against the calling on his life. CHRISTREBEL went to church many times but always ended up leaving. The troubles of his lifestyle, like being shot at, caught in a hold up, being jumped by rival thugs and numerous other situations led to him thinking God might be the answer. Yet he continually resisted. Sleeping around became a norm for him. No longer wishing to live CHRISTREBEL purposely took as much insulin as the needle could hold did not eat and went to sleep fully intent on never waking up again. On that Summer night, he went to sleep and woke up the next day with a massive headache. CHRISTREBEL suffered numerous seizures, which should of led to his death. He felt confused and didn't know what to do. He called his niece, who was vacationing in Puerto Rico, and she called an ambulance. In the ambulance, CHRISTREBEK went into a blackout state and died. After his flatline He was revived but did not awaken. He remembers hearing the doctors tell his mother while he was in a coma, "he will either be brain dead or a vegetable. He will have brain damage and not be able to function". She responded by saying,"Thank you Doctor for your hard work, but I serve a powerful God and my son will be fine"! When CHRISTREBEL finally awoke, he asked his mother why were they at the hospital. He had suffered memory loss. He left to live in Puerto Rico for a short time but he eventually returned to New York. His family kept insisting he go to church. He continuously said no until he asked if there were girls there. They said yes and he gladly went to church. He went with the wrong motives, but didn't know his life would never be the same again. He met the Pastor, and as they hugged, the Pastor said," I've been praying for you. I saw you in a vision". CHRISTREBEL had never met this man in his life! CHRISTREBEL told his mother he would never become a Christian because he did not want to go from the chains of the world to the chains of the church. When the Pastor started preaching, he knew God was speaking directly to him through the message. He spoke very clearly of his life like a play by play announcer. God showed how He had his hands on his life and created him for a specific purpose. CHRISTREBEL fought with God as tears rolled down his face. He told God,"I don't want this life". As he fought the tears, he walked to the altar and gave his life to Jesus. CHRISTREBEL fell in love with Christ and learned how to have a relationship with Jesus. He thought the gifts and calling in his life had passed him by. He never thought he would find love after Christ. In August of 2011, he crossed paths with his wife, Jessica. He never thought he would have children. He has 3. Their names are Dennis, Timothy & Sophia. The man, who was supposed to be a vegetable, is a servant of God. His body functions completely and flawlessly. In 2014, CHRISTREBEL began working with his brother Tito on a radio broadcast program called NoizeRadioLive, while attending and working alongside his wife at a local body in New Jersey. CHRISTREBEL has been able to minister in music and preach in various places sharing what God has put in his heart as well as his testimony. In 2015, Jesus has continued with the purpose & calling on CHRISTREBEL's life making him a part of Death By Design Productions which is a production company and ministry as an artist, minister & overseer, . DBD's mandate is to impact a Generation to go beyond themselves, to see their communities impacted by the Gospel.
