Many summers ago, I attended a songwriting boot camp at Bath Spa University. After intensive training, our tutors Joe Bennett, Davey Ray Moor and Dominic King encouraged us to write collaboratively and we managed to present a collection of songs that no one would ever hear again. Having not learnt from our mistakes, and since we still owed each other money, we assembled again at a big rambling country house in Wales for a weekend of reminiscing and perhaps even songwriting. So started a regular assembly and we named ourselves collectively the Ceridwen Cowboys, named after our first weekend venue. We have collaborated on countless songs, which managed to escape us, until it occurred that we should record some. I conceived an idea to make a CD entirely of these collaborative efforts, penned by our own crew of usual suspects. These are just a few of those songs that didn’t get away and which I had a hand in composing and finally produced on this album. More importantly, it is a series of snapshots of time spent with good friends, so I must give special thanks to everyone in the crew for their company and creative talent, without whom all of this could have been so easily avoided. Finally, here it is.I hope you enjoy the songs as much as we did writing them.
