The disk was an underground groundbreaker that has been coveted by collectors all these years. Heya was recorded Utilizing some of the finest studio musicians in Los Angeles many of which who were the same players from---Phil Spector,Beach Boys and Byrds sessions. The singer/songwriter took a lifetime of memories growing up in New Mexico and the experiences gathered from a searing stint as the bassist in the Sir Douglas Quintet circa the "Mendocino" years and created a classic collection of songs. They sound like nothing recorded before or since. This is a testament to the imagination and determination of one flat-out "Musical Maverick". The history books can go on and on raving about this superstar or that genius But Heya proves none of them can out do "Jimmy Stallings". This is one compadre ruled by the skies and afraid of nothing!
