A charity album by the YMCA for the YMCA. All proceeds go to YMCA Norfolk. “YMCA Norfolk’s mission is to enable transformation in young people’s lives. All the proceeds will go to support development opportunities for more young people.” Tim Sweeting Chief Executive Officer YMCA Norfolk Right Tracks – The Journey This album started as a conversation between a member of YMCA staff and young resident at an annual celebration event. Both struck by the hidden talents of young people and staff they decided an album must be produced. YMCA Norfolk has teamed up with youth arts organisation Culture Works East to create this completely original charity album from the cover design to the lyrics and music of all 8 tracks. Recorded by YMCA young people and staff the album has been designed, launched and promoted by a group not in employment, training or education. We have been responsible for everything from album design and marketing to organising the launch event, developing valuable employment and personal skills along the way. We have called this album “Right Tracks” as we feel most people can relate to music when they are having a hard time and can find that it can help them get back on the right track.
