Pound are a swedish alternative rock band which formed in the town of Borlänge, located somewhere near the middle of Sweden. Pound’s debut album ‘Stardust Lies and Holy Water’ began as a collection of songs, which the band had been performing for some time. They knew they needed someone of substance to be able to record and produce the sound that they were looking for. That man turned out to be American rock singer Tony Harnell (ex. TNT), Harnell accepted producer duties and Pound's first full-length album was born. Their hallmark signature is the musical questioning of all that we believe is not what we believe. This is highlighted and enhanced by the music and lyrical content of this album. If you like the sound of bands like Muse mixed with the Red Hot Chili Peppers then this album is for you, occasionally the melodies are much more exciting and less monotonous than a lot of other rock that’s around today. This album offers more progressive and experimentation in their musical sounds, offering something unique and very listenable. The album cover is a very striking and interesting image, shot by the band in a secret location known only to the band.
