Low-Key is a southern inspirational Hip Hop artist. Low-Key’s journey began in Tallahassee FL where he was born and raised for the beginning years of his life. Raised in a single parent home, with 4 other siblings not related to him, Low learned the true values of life very early. With his mom rarely around due to work and college, and his dad strung out on drugs and selling drugs, Low-Key rarely got to see his parents. They say, “It takes a tribe to raise a child,” in Low’s case he was raised by his godmother and aunt’s, being shipped around frequently from house to house. With so many different personalities, lifestyles, and environments, Low learned a lot of good and bad things that would dictate his future and lead him to be the person he is today. From hanging in the south side Tallahassee projects every weekend with his mother to his middle class life living with his godmother in Havana Florida, back to another project housing with his aunt in the country outside of Tallahassee, Low-Key has been refreshed with many different environments that has molded him into this person you see today. At age 7, Low’s mother became severely ill and had to move back to her home in Mobile Alabama, uprooting Low to a totally new environment he had only previously visited during the holidays. Being very different from their normal culture, Low was disliked in the beginning and was forced to fight daily bullies gaining him a reputation as a person not to be messed with in his new neighborhood. After a few years more kids from different areas began to move in his neighborhood and he formed a gang that would later make a decision that would change all of their lives forever.
