Changüí Majadero is a music collective dedicated to performing and preserving the works based on the roots of musical traditions from Guantanamo Cuba with a modern/contemporary touch. With its traditional Caribbean folk rhythm and melody from Guantanamo, Changüí Majadero attracts people to dance and celebrate life by delivering stunning vocals, fiery bongo de monte solos, marimbula-bass thump, driving guayo and maracas, and blazing tres-cubano solos. Changüí Majadero captures the essence of “musica campesina” of Cuba, inspiring and captivating audiences with its high energy, lyricism, and soulful syncopated swing.
