“Strong Woman”은 재미교포 락 밴드 Qing Mu(칭무)의 첫 번째 싱글이다. 늦둥이 외아들로 엄마의 존재가 창피했던 때가 많았던 칭무의 보컬리스트 Dane은 그의 첫 데뷔곡을 통하여 이제는 멀리 떨어져 보지 못하는 엄마의 아름다운 희생을 회상하며 그를 그리워하는 아픔을 곡에 담아냈다. 미국에서 활동하는 아들을 볼 날을 손꼽아 기다리며 영어를 공부하고 계신 어머님께 바치는 곡인 만큼 진심이 전달되길 바라는 마음으로 가장 쉬운 영어로 작사했다. “Strong Woman” is the first song written and performed by Qing Mu, an Asian American rock band based in Suwanee, GA. The lyrics of “Strong Woman” portray the grieving pain of an immature son who realizes for the first time the beautiful sacrifices of his mother and that such love will not be with him for eternity. The climax of the song expresses the agony of the son who pictures a time of final goodbye with his mother. The lyrics are written with simple words as it is a dedication to his elderly mother in China who is learning English to understand the lyrics of her son’s songs.
