“Ladies & Gentlemen… God’s Gems” is a CD presenting music, testimonials and lessons by, for and about a remarkable ministry for “cognitively impaired”, but by no means faith impaired, Christians. These developmentally disabled adults (Down syndrome, autism, etc.) respond to music immediately, enthusiastically and rhythmically. Most of the songs on the CD were written, sung and taught by Nancy Eaton to complement Bible study lessons at God’s Gems classes/services. On other tracks, God’s Gems offer their own uniquely expressive interpretations of Christian classics like “Jesus Loves Me” and “Amazing Grace”. The CD combines… we pray… inspired and inspiring Christian music with a glimpse into a wonderfully special Christian community.
