Vincent Neil Emerson, a 24-year old singer/songwriter born and raised in the pines of East Texas to a Choctaw-Apache Louisianian mother and an Anglo Texan father, has been making an impression on the DFW music scene since his debut full length effort “East Texas Blues” was released late July last year (2015). After leaving home at 16, spending the rest of his formative years on the move, and learning how to sing and write songs, Emerson stumbled upon DFW and found his place in the local music scene, bringing his unique take on swing time country and early rock & roll / rhythm & blues to the dive bars and honky tonks around town. Although Emerson started out as a local act in Fort Worth, his music has garnered attention from critics and fellow musicians all over DFW. “Emerson, another Panther City Artist, released East Texas Blues earlier this year and, simply put, it’s a stunner from beginning to end.
