Delta Twins is a five-man Detroit-based band that plays “deep blues, solid rock, and funky soul.” Established in 2009, Delta Twins has already been nominated for a Detroit Music Award, won several songwriting challenges, and have performed at some of the area’s most noteworthy venues and festivals. Jill Jack called their performance “A spiritually blues-driven experience…that’s the journey the Delta Twins take you on the moment they hit the stage”. Delta Twins has also shared stages with Laith Al-Saadi, Ralston Bowles, Tracy Kash Thomas, David Nefesh, Rusty Wright, and many other regional greats. Delta Twins latest album, Nothing Left But Hope, is an exhilarating musical collection that sounds incredible and cohesive as an album, but the individual songs also stand on their own. And the amazing thing is that the album was recorded LIVE, with minimal studio editing. Really. (Of course the sound effects and a few of the background vocals were added in the studio, but other than that... this was all performed in front of a live audience at the Blue Goose Inn in St. Clair Shores, MI on May 23-24, 2014). The Delta Twins tackle tough subjects with both seriousness and whimsy, and explore relationships among friends, at work, and at home that hit us where we really live. The rock-solid rhythm section of drummer Leland McCann and Mike Nagy on his funky 5-string Lakeland bass keep the groove going. The Delta Twins have a history of great recordings.
