The group THREE POINT FIVE was founded in 2000 by Anthony Losito and Jon Oliver. They continue to explore their writing abilities to present original song compositions combining genre elements of Pop and Smooth Jazz. Their first project, “NO TELLING”, features guest musicians, George Marks (trumpeter) of the R & B band BLUE DICE, Jim Colunio on guitar and keyboardist, Kirby Jones on selected cuts of the CD. Jayne Ann Losito was also kind enough to contribute vocal harmonies and Sam Jones provided the RAP to the project. The bands second project is titled “MOON OF DECISION” and is scheduled for release in the fall of 2006. ___ Founding member, Jon Oliver grew up in Elmira, New York and had the opportunity to play throughout upstate New York until he relocated to Florida in 1973 where he graduated from the University of South Florida. He continued to tour throughout the State with various artists and enjoyed an opportunity playing with CORNELIUS BROTHERS AND SISTER ROSE in 1977. Additionally, he played alongside BLUE DICE, trumpeter, George Marks in the AVATAR bands of the 1980’s. Early influences were McCartney, Fagen, Martin Turner, Jack Bruce, Sting and Jaco. He is presently involved as a composer, bassist and keyboardist with the THREE POINT FIVE projects in central Florida with group co-founder, Anthony Losito. ___ Founding member, Anthony Losito, also grew up in Elmira, New York and upon his graduation from Syracuse University, relocated to central Florida. His influences were Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau, Bobby Caldwell and Frank Sinatra. He also taught himself to play the chromatic and blues harmonica chasing the likes of Toots Thielman and Lee Oskar. Along with Jon Oliver, he to enjoyed a stint as lead vocalist for the AVATAR bands of the 1980’s with trumpeter, George Marks. Anthony Losito continues to perform with a variety of artists and musicians throughout Florida in addition to his work as a singer and composer on the Three Point Five projects.
