Blind from birth due to congenital cataracts, I experienced many challenges both emotionally & socially. Where others see color & contrast, I see blurs & blends. My loving parents helped me every step of the way. I am forever grateful to them for encouraging & believing in me. They taught me not to allow my visual impairment to limit me. From an early age they involved me in wrestling and track & field. When they discovered that I have talent for drawing & painting, they nurtured my gift by encouraging me to enter my work in every art contest I could. As a young child, music seemed to be a part of me. My parents often listened to records at home & observed me as I swayed along with the beat. I was 5 years old when I first pressed the keys on an acoustic piano. Something about it just appealed to me. From that time on, I became fixated on the piano and learned to play by ear. I began composing this album “A Cord of 3 Strands” in 2008. It is inspired by how God has blessed my wife & I from the beginning of our relationship until now. It is through His power & grace that we are able to experience a strong, loving & fulfilling marriage. My prayer is that this album will bring healing & inspiration to you.
