Formed 3 years ago in upstate New York, FLYWHEEL (consisting of guitarist Pat Gasperini, bassist Sandy Nardone, Drummer Jimmi Crifo, and Manchester England-born vocalist Stephen Bell) made it a personal goal to raise the bar for hard rock, presenting a distinctive style while evoking delicate subject matter in a very earth shifting fashion. Gasperini explains the band's intent: "The mindset of the album is about REAL things. We have a dark vibe, but it's not negative. We're actually very positive. It all-honest, from our gut, and we're touching real issues with purposeful intent....we're not just blabbing through the chorus. When we write, it's a reflection of the situations we are facing, the moods we're in. Some of the lyrics are very personal, some are goals & aspirations. FLYWHEEL is set around powerful lyrics, strong hooks and great musicianship; it's top-notch." With one listen to the self-titled album, it's perfectly evident that FLYWHEEL is not a one-hit wonder act. In fact, the material was so explosive and refreshing, a publishing deal with EMI was quickly secured. FLYWHEEL is a very career-driven release designed for the live setting. Pat continues, discussing the band's solid conviction: "We're an in-your-face rock band that delivers. We're pure adrenaline when we play. FLYWHEEL is not that one-minute-at-radio band, trying to get that one hit single & cross our fingers. We're out in the trenches every night, doing the club & smaller theater circuit to make our presence known & rebuild a real fanbase. We're very focused on what we're doing. This is not what we WANT to be, this is what we ARE!" The band's constant energetic & fan friendly stage presence has caused quite a stir, and dates are constantly being booked. Currently, FLYWHEEL is working and extensive run in the Southeast, and dates around the country are all but guaranteed.
