简介
The Joedai Warriors is a musical partnership between the songs of Joe Peters & the musicianship of Michael Kelsey; Second Wind is the fifth release under this name. Joe Peters is a singer-songwriter who has released eight CDs of original songs since 1998, as well as two other compilations of Americana and Celtic music. Joe can often be found on the coffeehouse and restaurant circuit in the Lafayette, Indiana area, whether as a solo performing songwriter, a duo with the incredible vocalist Linda Hicks, or as a member of the contemporary folk group, Deep & Simple, featuring Linda Hicks (guitar and vocals), and Allison Edberg (violin and viola). Joe grew up in the American Midwest during the turbulent times of the 1960s and 70s, and his songs hearken back to a time when the youth of the planet sought the experience of peace, love and adventure and expressed this search in their music. Through his own music, Joe hopes to rekindle in others that spark of the seeker of truth on a spiritual journey that was awakened in him long ago by the songs of introspective artists like Cat Stevens, Donovan, the Moody Blues and others. Joe and his music have been frequently featured on the Local Music Show and Acoustic Blend, WBAA (AM 920), Voice of the Independent Artist (Fm 106.3 & 103.9), and Rock-It Local (FM 95.7). Joe & Linda opened for country superstar, Lorrie Morgan at the Lafayette Theater, and Joe played the Taste of Tippecanoe songwriter stage in 2009, and with Deep & Simple in 2010. Joe’s song, Sail Away (off Pilgrimage) won the first Blooming-Tunes songwriting contest in 2009, and performed with Jennie DeVoe at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington along with other winners. In 2010, Joe was invited to be a judge for the second Blooming-Tunes contest. His original musical slide show, Root of the Matter, will be shown at the 2011 conference of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Discography...
