Not many high school singers have performed in stadium shows and won accolades from multi-platinum recording artists. But that is exactly what Sebastian McCarty, 17, a senior in high school, has already accomplished. “I love playing music because it is the most comfortable way for me to express my true feelings,” Sebastian explains. “Music drives me everyday to get out of bed and live life. I’m really able to connect with people the best when I’m singing.” Sebastian is already making is mark in the Kansas City region by performing regularly at some of the area’s high-profile venues. Performances at Royals Stadium and Denver Coliseum were highlights among many special events at popular nightclubs, coffeehouses and shopping centers. But perhaps his favorite moment in his budding career was his 2013 audition for the Fox Network’s “The X Factor,” during which Sebastian made it to the Top 200 nationwide. After his performance for celebrity judges and an audience of 4,000 people, multi-platinum artist Demi Lovato gushed that then 15-year-old Sebastian had a great voice, and four-time Grammy Award winner and Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland told Sebastian he “has a great future…hang on, it’s going to be a fun ride.” Hardworking, outgoing and goal-oriented, Sebastian is driven to take that ride as far as it will go. This able is Sebastian's first recorded EP that combines 3 original songs with 2 cover songs. His sound is one that is similar to artists that people hear on the radio on a daily basis. He combines his pop vocals and high register with a full band behind him giving a pop/rock sound.
