Donald Grant of Shelby, Mississippi, has worked with Alphonso "Doc" Walker; singer, songwriter, producer and former keyboard player for R&B artist R. Kelly. In 1985, as a singer, songwriter, musician and member of the band known as SIPP, Grant worked with the renowned Ed Townsend, who is the writer and producer for the album "Let's Get It On," which was the late Marvin Gaye's biggest hit. Working with Ed and the group SIPP gave Donald the chance to work with other R&B recording artists such as: Dee Dee Warwick, and Columbia Records recording artist David Townsend, of the group Surface. Donald Grant has been in the music business for 35 years. During this time, he has had the opportunity to perform on stage with various gospel recording artists such as: The Williams Brothers, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, and The Canton Spirituals. Being inspired by these great artists gave Donald the desire to pursue a more in depth focus in his musical career. After receiving Christ in his life, his intentions are to spread the gospel throughout the world, that souls may be saved.
