I've been playing guitar and singing classic country music and country gospel hymns my whole life, but it wasn't until a couple years ago that I sang a solo for anyone other than myself, so nobody knew I did this, including my family. Our church choir director persuaded me to try a solo verse in one of our anthems, and the response was surprisingly (to me) positive. Later, I soloed an entire hymn with just me and my guitar, and people started asking for a CD. So I arranged a fundraising concert in May of 2016 for the church, and performed 19 hymns before about 200 people. It was my first concert, and it is from this concert that these live songs were recorded, including introductions for three of the songs. I've been totally surprised by the response to and interest in this CD, and I hope you enjoy it as much as others seem to have. Thank you!
