Simon Gardner is one Brisbaneʼs premier rock guitarists and pre-eminent guitar teachers. As a teacher Simon has been delivering lessons since 1988 and in 2006 opened his own music tuition hub, Simon Gardner Music. As an artist, Simon has released 5 solo albums, scored short films and has produced numerous award winning albums for other artists. As an original performer, he has supported artists such as Joe Satriani and Phil Emmanuel and is first call guitarist with the Queensland Pops Orchestra. He is regularly performing live with a variety of bands and artists ranging from acoustic jazz to his own progressive instrumental band The Big Sky. Simon is also an Ibanez guitar endorsee and performs clinics for Ibanez throughout the year and is currently working on a new solo album.

"Casting the Coloured Stones" was a piece written specifically to highlight the variety of the new Ibanez range of guitars.
