David Chafe is a pianist, teacher, musical director and recording artist from St. John’s, Newfoundland. In 2006, David released his debut solo CD, \"It Is Well\" and was named 2006 Gospel Artist of the Year by the Music Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (MUSICNL). In 2007, MUSICNL awarded him the same honour for his all-duets CD \"Bright and Beautiful.\" He is also the 2007 MUSICNL Classical Artist of the Year, shared with baritone and fellow MUN Master of Music Christopher Bowman for their CD \"Over Hill and Valley.\" He is the founding accompanist of the Lady Cove women’s choir, co-founder, manager, accompanist and singer for the Newman Sound men\'s choir, and associate accompanist for Shallaway. In December 2007, he and Andrew Dale released their Christmas album \"Midnight Clear\" to great popularity and critical acclaim. David also teaches music privately out of his busy home studio. You are invited to visit his website: www.davidchafe.ca. Andrew Dale of Coley\'s Point, Newfoundland is well-known as a singer, actor and multi-instrumentalist. On stage, he has performed with Artistic Fraud, Shallaway, Rising Tide Theatre, Ta-da Productions, Beothuk Street Players, Spirit of Newfoundland, and the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, Andrew performed in Artistic Fraud’s “Fear of Flight” to sold-out audiences. Andrew will be touring in the lead role in Stephen Hatfield’s chamber opera “Ann & Séamus” to Denmark and Ireland in July. On screen, he has been featured in Michael Ostroff’s documentary To Think Like A Composer, Rosemary House’s documentary Bloomsday Cabaret, and Paddy Barry’s film The Gospel Spoken. He is also a member of several music groups including The Cobblestones, The Once, and The Dardanelles. Now, longtime friends David Chafe and Andrew Dale have joined forces to create one of the most exquisite and timeless compilations of the most loved sacred Christmas songs in \"Midnight Clear.\"
