Originally from Germany, Sina Theil picked up a guitar at the age of 18 and in the short few years since she has flourished as an accomplished singer/songwriter. Sina left Germany for Spain where she formed her first band and recorded her first few demos. During a travel year in North America she also gained valuable acting experience while joining a local acting agency and working on various high budget productions as an extra. After deciding that it was finally time to pursue her passion for music, she relocated to Dublin to pave her career on the Irish music scene and become a student of BIMM. Sina began to study song writing part-time in BIMM while making her way busking on the streets of Dublin, after 1 year she embarked on a full time vocal course and gained experience in live performance as the front-woman of rock group Midnight Therapy. In 2017 Sina turned her attention to working on her debut solo EP. In collaboration with Downda Road Productions, Sina is currently in studio recording some of her original solo material that varies from playful light-rock tracks with urban influences to heartfelt ballads with an alt-country vibe. Sina’s clear abilities as a song writer are enhanced further by her unique voice and compelling stage presence. While completing her debut EP which is due out later this year, Sina is also collaborating with fellow Downda Road artists on a few projects; her and Andy Harper (lead singer of off-beat blues, rock & high energy folk group Vagabonds & Thieves) are working on writing some exciting new material, Sina will join guitar troubadour Davie Furey on his latest tour starting in June 2017 as well as providing backing vocals for Katie Gallagher's track 'Trouble' from her upcoming debut EP.
